Recently I went to the ocean with my best friends. It was amazing there! If you've never been to the ocean, its impossible to duplicate the feeling of standing on the beach looking at the endless waves. The air is warm, the sun is setting, the crashing, rolling waves sweeping onto shore, leaving bits of foam clinging to the wet sand. The seagulls ride the wind across the ocean, looking down over the ocean, and the sun dips into the water, red and orange bleeding into the sky and reflecting on the water. It was so much fun to spend time on the beach with my best friends, something we've always talked about doing. Standing on the shore, looking at the ocean as far as you can see to the right, left, and front of you, spanning forever and forever for miles deep and wide...There's this song we sang it church about God's love for us that reminded me of it. The One who loved us made the ocean, and cares about us. Not just us, collectively. Me. Your friend. You. He cares enough to count how many hairs are growing out of your head, how many tears you've cried. He loves, you and its deeper than any ocean.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:14-21
