Hi, Page Turner here. It's been a while. I suppose I just haven't had a lot to write about. :) There is, however, something important to write about today.
If you're a fan of Lego, science fiction, or just enjoy an awesome plane model, I have some really cool news. Take a look:
This elegant Lego design is called the The U.S.S. Martin. It is a Lego set featuring two large engines in the rear (see figure 2) made from blue Lego parts.
Within this carrier lies hidden guns for defense when the crew is confronted from surly space pirates or other threats.
In the front (see figure 1) lies bulbous cockpit that, in emergency situations, transforms into an eject-able escape pod. The rear of the cargo carrier unfolds to form a ramp, where the happy crew is loading for flight.
The U.S.S. Martin is covered with sleek maroon and grey paneling and dotted with vents for heat distribution. It's the perfect space carrier for adventures to distant galaxies (or just to your local Intergalactic Froyo shop!)
Isn't this a cool set? The only problem is, it's not a real set. This might sound weird. The cool thing is that Lego has an official website called Lego Ideas, where Lego designers both young and old can invent sets and post them. They need 10,000 Likes on Lego Ideas website before they get judged. Many become real sets!
I know many people who have bought sets designed by geniuses who submitted their ideas on Lego Ideas. One, the Saturn V Rocket Lego set, is still very popular in Lego stores and with fans.
The reason why I wanted to write this post, and why I thought it was so important, is because it's not yet a set. About half of you are reaching for the exit button on this tab of your screen because you think I'm about to ask you to contribute money. I'm not :) I just think this is really cool and I know the designer of this set. He's a dedicated Lego lover/genius who deserves as much support on this project as he can get!
If you want The U.S.S. Martin to become a reality, he needs more support! A lot of people think support means money, but it's Lego's way of saying "Like", as in liking a song on Youtube. All you have to do is make an account if you haven't already (it takes about 1 minute or less) at https://ideas.lego.com/#all. Then, go to https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a0de5d9b-ffd7-4c15-95a3-a609df8722dc to go to The U.S.S. Martin directly.
Once you're there, all you have to do is click on the big, green "Support" button, and you're done! The cool thing is that once you are in this website, you now have a profile. If you love Legos--or someone else in your life does--they can design a set and post it for free! Maybe they'll become the next Saturn V Rocket set....
Anyway, thank you for reading this post! I hope to maybe write some more on here. Until then,
Au Revoir!

p.s. If you would leave a comment, it would help me know if anyone has seen this post. :) Thanks!
