Hi, everyone! Page Turner here. Okay I know it's been a while since my last Monthly Food Entry, so here it is for August. Bon appetite!
Imagine this: you're on the road, feeling lonely and so cold...not to mention hungry. You're stomach is rumbling and you need a little treat. If you're going to treat yourself you might as well do it right, so you decide for biscuits. But where? Bonjangles or Hardees? How do you know which one is better? Ah, dear reader, that is where I come in. Okay, so that's exactly what happened today and I have done scientific research, complete with pictures, to prove which is better. (In my personal, biased opinion...)
It started with Bojangles. We drove into the drive through and ordered two steak biscuits for 6.99. We were starving and once we bit into them, we were happy, but not satisfied. We ate a bit, then folded it back up, our hunger for a good biscuit unmet. The biscuit was too doughy and heavy and there was hardly any butter on it. The steak was crunchy and thin, with a sweet peppery taste. Overall it was pretty good, but not what we wanted.
We headed down the street to Hardees, where two steak biscuits were only 4.99. Yes! Instant score. The biscuit was crumbly and buttery, and it tasted like it had been fried. The steak was thick and juicy, and the batter tasted like rich gravy. Totally satisfying! And much cheaper!
Now some people like Bojangles better, so to be fair, I interviewed other biscuit eaters. The results showed that although I and my friend preferred Hardees, due to its succulently juicy meat and deep-fried buttery biscuits, the two biscuit eaters I interviewed declared their love for Bojangles. When asked why, one person said that the meat was better. Her companion agreed. He said that he had tried the mixing the two, but his favorite was Bojangles.
Ah, well. I still think that however delicious and satisfying Bojangles is, Hardees will always be my favorite. Come back tomorrow to see pictures and get the full interview!
