Hi, Page Turner here. I hope I can stump you with this riddle. Enjoy!
Riddle:
Imagine you are in remote territory in Alaska, in a small cabin. Your cabin is of Spartan design, with nothing but three chairs, a table, a bed, and a junk drawer. A huge blizzard has hit a few weeks ago, and you have been completely snowed in your cabin. The snow reaches so high outside that it is starting to fall into your chimney, and you have long run out of food and firewood. After careful conservation, your generator has lasted this long, but now it just died and the temperature of your cabin has dropped considerably over the last few hours. Your legs, arms, and nose are beginning to go numb, and your hands are beginning to shake. You begin to become dizzy, and you feel to tired to get up from the chair you are sitting in. Suddenly, you hear howling, muffled and far away. Although it stays muffled, it begins to get closer. Snows suddenly starts to crumble and fall into your empty fireplace. The baying of wolves is now startling clear and too loud in your delirious mind, and it fades in and out, as they begin to scratch at your roof. You haven't eaten in almost a week, and you're breathing is becoming shallow. For a second, you wonder if the wolves can dig you out of your snow-locked cabin, but you quickly realize that you would be either dead or killed by the wolves before that could happen. You suddenly remember that you have enough supplies in your junk drawer to construct a simple radio. Staggering to your feet and trying to ignore the howling of the wolves, you stumble to the drawer. Being a scientist in the Alaskan wilderness came with much training. You assemble the radio, but your fingers stiffen suddenly, and you collapse into a sitting position on the ground. The radio has toppled far out of reach, but you still have hope. There is still a way to get out alive.
What is it?
